Spirituality Series v.7

Wednesday’s are always fun days for me. I get to relax in the middle of the weekend and evaluate my top priorities before the weekend starts. This is the last of the spirituality series for this month. To recap, here’s a list of topics I covered:
Being Spiritually Blocked
Soul Questions
Differences between spirituality & religion
Spiritual Journaling
Spiritual History

I’m ending on a lighter note after going into deep subjects every MWF this month. I’ll still have a post on Friday- for the newest readers, you’ll get a glimpse of other content I post.

Let’s begin!

Favorite Biblical Scriptures

Not everyone’s a christian and nor does everyone enjoy the Bible. No matter what your stance might be, this is a list of scriptures that help me during times of depression, anxiety, positivity and learning how to live again, spiritually

For when I’m antsy about where I’m going

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11

For a basic love of scriptures, Ecclesiastes is an underrated favorite

The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be;
and that which is done is that which shall be done:
and there is no new thing under the sun.
10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new?
it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
11 There is no remembrance of former things;
neither shall there be any remembrance of things
that are to come with those that shall come after.

Ecc. 1:9-11

Depression

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
We do not know what we ought to pray for,
but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

Romans 8:26
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation,
be constant in prayer.Contribute to the needs of the saints
and seek to show hospitality.Bless those who persecute you;
bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice,
weep with those who weep.Live in harmony with one another.
Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.Never be wise in
your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil,
but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.

Romans 12:12-17

Complete prayer

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand,
that he may lift you up in due time.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around
like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that
the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the
same kind of sufferings.
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory
in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will
himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 5:6-11

Spirituality

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those
who love him, who
[a]have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 (To-Go Top Favorite)
And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit,
because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people
in accordance with the will of God.
And we know that in all things God works for
the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose.
For those God foreknew he also predestined
to be conformed to the image of his Son,
that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

Romans 8:27-29

“My heart rejoices in the Lord;
    in the Lord my horn
[a is lifted high.
My mouth boasts over my enemies,
for I delight in your deliveranc
e.

1 Samuel 2:1
The Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands.
He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness.
These forty years the Lord your God has been with you,
and you have not lacked anything.

Deuteronomy 2:7

When I do take the time to read scripture, I tend to refer to the Old Testament more than the New Testament, mainly out of preference.

What’s some of your favorite scriptures? Let me know in the comments below and i’ll see you all again Friday!
Cheers,
Danielle
